The overall objective of the Felix Thornley Cobbold Agricultural Trust is to advance and improve agriculture, in particular to educate farmers and young persons in agricultural methods, developments and techniques.
Open to:
Students from Suffolk (or the adjoining counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex), on the following courses:
- BSc/BSc (Hons) Agriculture and all Agriculture routes
- BSc/BSc (Hons) Agribusiness Management
- BEng/BEng (Hons) Agricultural Engineering
- BSc/BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management
- Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds may be given priority.
Available:
- Up to £3,000 per academic year towards tuition fees (Yr 1, 2 and 4); Potential for an additional £1,000 per annum for personal expenditure of essential items, if the successful candidate is from a disadvantaged background, which must be supported by evidence given in an accompanying statement.
Requirement:
- The University will invite applicants through their normal channels. Applicants will be asked to complete a statement of up to 500 words with their application, detailing the difference and impact that a scholarship would have on their time at Harper Adams.
The Trust shall discuss with ÌìÃÀÊÓÆµ and agree the candidate selected and decide whether a personal grant is justified.
